A couple quit their 'corporate' life for a 'grown-up gap year' travelling Europe in a motorhome - and are still going a decade and 90,000 miles later.<br/><br/>Karen, 56, and Myles Davies, 57, - aka The Motoroamers - have visited 27 countries in their vehicle 'Scoobie'.<br/><br/>They set off in 2016 and are able to work while travelling spending around £1,500 to £2K a month - their previous home rental cost them £1,350 alone.<br/><br/>The couple decided to set off through Europe for a planned 'gap year'.<br/><br/>But they loved the new lifestyle so much that they wanted to keep going and have used Scoobie as their forever home ever since.<br/><br/>Now with 90,000 miles under their belt, and despite two engines later, the venturesome couple have explored 'every compass angle' through Europe.<br/><br/>They have covered 27 countries from Norway to Portugal, Romania, the Sahara desert of Morocco and 'most places in between'. <br/><br/>Karen, who works as a yoga coach, travel writer and author of leadership and personal development ebooks, said: \

![The top 30 simple things that make us smile include a kind gesture from a stranger, waking up on a sunny morning – and seeing an elderly couple holding hands.<br/><br/>A study of 2,000 adults found seeing a loved one get good news, receiving a surprise gift and getting a hug also feature on the list.<br/><br/>While others experience the same joy after getting into bed with freshly washed sheets, seeing an old friend and watching a puppy.<br/><br/>But for 46 per cent of people, simply having someone smile at you makes you feel happy, with 65 per cent of adults saying that it improves their mood.<br/><br/>That positive boost lasts for an average of more than 13 minutes, leaving them more likely to be kinder to others (37 per cent), more motivated (19 per cent) or make a bold decision (nine per cent).<br/><br/>Bupa Dental Care [https://www.bupa.co.uk/dental/dental-care] commissioned the research as part of National Smile Month, to highlight the benefits the friendly gesture can have.<br/><br/>However, an experiment saw just 21 per cent of adults return the friendly gesture from a stranger.<br/><br/>During a two-hour period, actress Zara Naeem smiled at 112 different people as they walked past her -
