The Great Egrets and Wood Storks in our back yard cypress swamp are having one of their best years ever.Quite a few of the Great Egrets have already fledged, with the majority fledging in the next week, however there is at least one nest that has young birds.Sadly, we witnessed the middle-sized Egret chick in the nest with the three young chicks push the smallest chick out to the outside of the large nest, and he was so weak that it was not hard for the chick to keep him out of the nest.nn
