Description:
The spring of the 2024 TV schedule has been pretty great for fans of super-producer Dick Wolf's nine-show universe. First, NBC renewed the three shows of One Chicago and two of the three Law & Order shows back in March, and then CBS renewed all three FBI shows just ahead of an FBI/Most Wanted crossover. Those are eight out of nine shows to celebrate, but the latest news just makes me want word on Law & Order: Organized Crime, which is the last Wolf show waiting. Law & Order and SVU are coming back, but what of OC?

But nothing like this - this was really unusual.”<br/><br/>David thought about her, night-and-day, for weeks.<br/><br/>He looked online at forums about “obsessive love” - and came across a post about limerence.<br/><br/>He said: “I thought, 'jeez, this is what I’ve got to a T.'<br/><br/>“Something’s not right - I was absolutely obsessed and I only spoke to her for 20 minutes.<br/><br/>“I kept going over every single word she said to me, every little action.<br/><br/>“The moment I’d wake up, I’d rehearse in my head what I might say to her if she came up to talk to me.<br/><br/>“I’d experience soaring highs if she replied to an email - and extreme lows if she didn’t.<br/><br/>“It was like an intermittent reward.”<br/><br/>Knowing the feeling wasn’t going to go away any time soon, he decided to tell Ruth - who also works as a couples’ therapist.<br/><br/>She said: “David told me, and this was all going on about five days after my dad’s funeral.<br/><br/>“I was in horrific grief at the time, and so my first thoughts were: ‘Oh, for god’s sake. How can you be so bloody stupid?’<br/><br/>“My dad had just died, and my husband wanted to p*ss off into fantasy land.<br/><br/>“We went into freefall, and it was a very, very difficult 12 months.”<br/><br/>After choosing to concentrate on grieving for her dad for a year, Ruth says she “finally had the brain capacity” to sit down with David, and ask him what was going on.<br/><br/>He hadn’t acted on his feelings - and actively decided he wouldn’t “consummate” the crush.<br/><br/>“David reached out to me,” Ruth said. “He asked me, ‘please help me understand what’s going on.’<br/><br/>“He was so confused. I asked him if he still wanted to be married, and he said, ‘I don’t want to throw away what we’ve got.’<br/><br/>“I told him to sit in the confusion, and I’d do what I could to support him.<br/><br/>“But I knew that what will be will be, we might not necessarily make it out of this.”<br/><br/>David said: “We started having marriage counselling - and one thing I want to stress is it isn’t an excuse to cheat.<br/><br/>“I was responsible for what I did - but it did make me realise that often, people don’t set out to have an affair.”<br/><br/>David explored some of the ways therapists encourage people to “heal” from limerence - including starving themselves from contact, or consummating it with the other person.<br/><br/>He settled on going to therapy, and letting the woman know he couldn’t speak to her anymore.<br/><br/>Now, David and Ruth help other couples going through the same thing - and have taught their children, Hannah-Mai, 32, and Isobel, 29, how to value their own relationships.<br/><br/>Ruth said: “It was important our two daughters knew about all this.<br/><br/>“They were older teenagers when this was all going on, and they understood it.<br/><br/>“We thought it was very important for them to understand that all marriages have differences - but you don’t throw the towel in when the going gets tough.<br/><br/>“Even when you’re talking about a full-blown physical affair. Once is a mistake, twice is a habit.”

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that is primarily caused by sun exposure, so everyone is at risk. It's so common, that nearly 5 million Americans are treated every year. In fact, more people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year in the U.S. than all other cancers combined. The good news is it's preventable, that's why Dr. Nkem Ugonabo partnered with Neutrogena to spread the word. For years, Neutrogena has been committed to supporting sun safety and providing sunscreen solutions for all as a preventative measure for skin cancer. In honor of Melanoma Awareness Month this May and Melanoma Awareness Day on May 6, Neutrogena is proud to share it has donated over 1 million dollars to the Melanoma Research Foundation over their 7-year relationship. And what we love about the brand, is that they make it super easy to choose the sunscreen that works best for specific needs, so you actually use it every day. What are some common myths and misconceptions around sunscreen? The first, is thinking that because there is SPF in your makeup, you don't need to wear sunscreen. Unfortunately, the SPF in makeup isn't enough to limit the harmful effects of UV-Rays. If you're looking for an SPF that works well under makeup, try the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Serum SPF 60+ , a weightless serum that protects, hydrates and primes skin for makeup in one step. The second myth is thinking that if you have dark skin, you don't need to wear sunscreen. Everyone is at risk for melanoma, so regardless of your skin color, you need to wear sunscreen. A great option is Neutrogena's Invisible Daily Defense Face Serum SPF 60+ . This sunscreen helps fight against environmental aggressors like ozone and pollution while hydrating skin. The last myth is thinking that you don't need sunscreen if it's cloudy or cold. Every day is 'sun' day. Wearing sunscreen every day is the best way to prevent skin cancer. It's best to look for sunscreen labels that say, 'broad spectrum' and always wear an SPF 30 or higher. A great option is Neutrogena's new Invisible Daily Defense Mineral Face Liquid SPF 30 which provides 100% mineral active protection with a smooth and lightweight finish. What are some other healthy habits that you can incorporate into your lifestyle to reduce the risk of skin cancer? In addition to wearing sunscreen, avoid being out in the sun during peak hours. The sun's rays are the strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If you're spending extended periods of time outside, it's best to seek shade (for example, under an umbrella). It's also important to cover up with protective clothing, such as a hat and sunglasses when you can. Lastly, make sure to see your friendly dermatologist for an annual skin cancer screening and mole check. Check out Neutrogena.com for some helpful tips and get these products everywhere at retailers nationwide and on Amazon.
