Bring water and snacks.<br/>Even for short hikes, <br/>be sure to bring some <br/>nonperishable snacks <br/>like trail mix, energy <br/>bars or jerky. .<br/>Most importantly, bring water, <br/>at least half a liter for every <br/>hour you plan to hike.<br/>5.
