TIMID drivers might want to steer clear of ‘Tankenstein’, a hotrod built around a genuine, bullet-riddled World War II tank. Car-crazy customiser Shawn Cormier, from Ontario, Canada, spent five years building the vehicle - whose name is a pun on Frankenstein's monster. The hotrod is constructed around the base of a World War II brand gun cure from 1944, with a Chevy drive train, a small block Chevy turbo 350 trim mission, a standard four gear in the back and the top part of the cab is a 1947 Mercury truck. A CAR dealership has taken speed to the next level - by modifying high-performance sports cars like this incredible McLaren 720s. The supercars at Wheels Boutique, Miami have record-breaking speeds, all down to their expert modifications. Owner and car modifier Alejandro Enrique told FutureStudiosCars: “We had the record for the longest time for the fastest McLaren in the world. Miami has a huge market for super cars. There's a lot of people who own them and there's a lot of people who modify them. So, it just attracts us as our business to do a lot of supercars.” The car enthusiasts at Wheels Boutique have been improving high end sports cars and supercars since 1999. Most of their work focuses on mounting high performance wheels, high speed balancing and suspension upgrades. But with this McLaren 720s they went that little bit further, teaming up with Pure Turbos to make one of the fastest cars in the world - even faster. The $300,000 car has a top speed of 270 MPH and can do a quarter mile in 8.9 seconds – almost a whole second faster than the factory model.

The coupé-like roofline of the Macan and the striking rear—with its shape so typical of Porsche—evoke the tight, unmistakable flyline of the 911. But this time, it’s not just a reminder of the Porsche icon. Rather, the shape, including the rear spoiler, is a groundbreaking innovation in the all-electric SUV segment. “The active aerodynamic elements all contribute significantly to the range,” says aerodynamics specialist Thomas Wiegand. “We have a rear spoiler that raises automatically, active cooling flaps at the front air intakes, and flexible covers on the underbody.” Located in the same building as the Style Porsche design department, the Weissach wind tunnel gives form and shape to the streamlining of the newly developed Macan. It’s the first Porsche based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) created in collaboration with Audi. This platform not only benefits from development synergies, but is also highly flexible, enabling Porsche to implement its own technical and brand-specific objectives. Full electrification of the popular model line is an important milestone on the path to ensuring that more than 80 percent of the new cars are fully electrified in 2030—depending on the demand of customers and the development of electromobility in the respective regions of the world.
